Bridging Skills, Building Futures: Thrive Nest Partners with Kpawumo Educational Institute for Digital Literacy Pilot Program

We’re excited to announce a new partnership that speaks directly to our mission of empowering young people with the tools to thrive in today’s digital world.

Thrive Nest Ghana has officially launched a 3 month pilot digital literacy and digital skills program in collaboration with the Vocational Department of Kpawumo Educational Institute, a community-rooted school known for its hands-on training in tailoring and carpentry.

This partnership is more than a classroom initiative; it’s a step toward unlocking the digital potential of youth in rural Northern Ghana.

 What’s the Program About?

In its first phase, the program will train 50 vocational students in essential digital skills such as:

  • Basic digital literacy
  • Graphic design
  • Social media marketing

The goal? To help these students discover new opportunities online and explore how digital tools can transform their vocational skills into scalable businesses.

What’s Next?

The second phase of the program will focus on entrepreneurship development, helping students take their digital and technical skills to the next level by building sustainable businesses.

This pilot is not just about learning how to use a computer—it’s about understanding the value of visibility, branding, and digital entrepreneurship in a connected world.

Why This Matters

In communities like Kpawumo, where vocational training is strong but access to digital resources is limited, programs like this can be a game-changer. Students are learning how to go beyond local markets, share their craft online, and position themselves for broader opportunities.

We believe digital literacy is not just a skillset, it is a mindset. And we’re proud to be helping shape that mindset, one student at a time.

Stay tuned for updates as we move through this exciting pilot phase. The future is digital—and it’s already taking root in Kpawumo.
