Strengthening Partnerships for Youth Empowerment: Thrive Nest Engages Key Regional Partners

At Thrive Nest Ghana, we believe that youth empowerment is most effective when it is rooted in collaboration and community-driven solutions. As a youth-led social enterprise focused on equipping underserved communities with digital and entrepreneurial skills, we are committed to building partnerships that enable us to reach and transform more lives, particularly in Northern Ghana.

As part of our ongoing efforts to expand our impact and deepen institutional engagement, our team paid courtesy visits to two key stakeholders in the region: the Northern Regional Director of the National Youth Authority (NYA) Mr. Ampofo  and the Regional Head of the Informal Apprenticeship Division of the Ghana TVET Service, Madam Humaima Abdul-Wahab

Meeting with the National Youth Authority (NYA)

Our meeting with the NYA Regional Director centered on introducing Thrive Nest’s mission and exploring opportunities for collaboration. We shared our work in training youth, especially those in informal sectors, with digital tools that allow them to promote their work, access opportunities, and build sustainable livelihoods.

The Director welcomed our team warmly and expressed strong interest in our work. He assured us of NYA’s support in achieving our shared goals of empowering the next generation through skills development, innovation, and digital inclusion.

Engaging the Informal Apprenticeship Division – Ghana TVET Service

We also had the opportunity to meet with the Regional Head of the Informal Apprenticeship Division under the Ghana TVET Service. This division plays a critical role in supporting thousands of young people undergoing informal skills training across the region, in fields such as tailoring, carpentry, welding, and more.

Our discussion focused on how Thrive Nest can complement these efforts by integrating digital literacy and entrepreneurship training into the TVET ecosystem. With a growing need for artisans to market their services, document their work, and access online learning tools, we believe digital tools are no longer a luxury, but a necessity

Why These Partnerships Matter

Underserved communities are often left out of policy design and program implementation, not because they lack talent, but because systems rarely reach them where they are. By building strong partnerships with institutions like NYA and Ghana TVET Service, Thrive Nest is ensuring that no youth is left behind.

We are excited about the path ahead and grateful for the openness and commitment shown by both institutions. Together, we can shape a more inclusive and digitally empowered future for young people in Northern Ghana.

Looking Ahead

These engagements are just the beginning. We look forward to co-creating solutions, developing joint programs, and expanding our reach across schools, informal apprenticeship spaces, and rural communities.
